Among the first and most meaningful results achieved by the Terni company in the years after the second world war, the building of the spheric cabin for the bathyscaph "Trieste" is worth mentioning because of its technical extraordinary features and the singularity of its application, which was developed by the Swiss scientist Auguste Piccard for the conquest of the see abysses (1951-1953).
